Menoufia Water: 3 water stations and a treatment plant are eligible for a water and wastewater safety and security certificate.
The Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, headed by Eng. Rushdi El Sayed Omar, Chairman and Managing Director, held a regular meeting on water safety and sanitation, to review the necessary corrective measures to ensure safe drinking water and sanitation, and to ensure the sustainability of safe services for citizens.
The Menouf Filtered Water Treatment Plant, the Dabaiba Filtered Water Treatment Plant, and the Shibin El Kom Filtered Water Treatment Plant (Second Edition) were awarded Water Safety and Security Certificates, while the Kafr El Khadra Treatment Plant was awarded a Wastewater Safety Plan Accreditation Certificate.
The attendees from various departments praised the performance of the Menoufia Water Company in this regard, as part of the interest of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, represented by the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, in continuously monitoring the safety of water and wastewater.
It is worth noting that the Water and Wastewater Safety and Security Certification is one of the most important certifications in this field because it is accredited by three government agencies: the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, the Regulatory Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater, and the Ministry of Health.
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Irrigation, the concerned authorities in Menoufia Governorate, the heads of the concerned sectors in the company, Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Mawla, and Dr. Hassan Abdullah from the General Administration of Water Safety and Security at the Holding Company.
