Menoufia Drinking Water Authority monitors water quality in various schools in the governorate.
Engineer Rushdi El Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, assigned the company's laboratory sector to withdraw samples of drinking water supplied to schools in the governorate's districts, to ensure that it complies with the standard specifications and approved health standards, and to follow up on the delivery of drinking water services to the governorate's various schools with high quality.
He said: This measure comes as part of a periodic monitoring plan implemented by the company to ensure the provision of safe and clean water in schools by forming monitoring committees to verify the provision of drinking water and sanitation services to schools.
He added that drinking water samples were collected from water sources and overhead tanks at schools for chemical, bacteriological, and microscopic testing to ensure that the drinking water met standard specifications for produced water.
This comes within the framework of directives from Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, and Engineer Mamdouh Raslan, Chairman of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, to raise the level of readiness to the maximum level for the new school year and ensure the provision of safe, high-quality water services.
