  • The Awareness Department of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company has begun holding awareness seminars in various schools, aiming to spread water awareness and promote the concept of rationalization among school students under the slogan "Every Drop Matters," in cooperation with the Menoufia Education Directorate.
  • Engineer Rushdi Al-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, emphasized that water conservation is a religious and national duty, and that spreading water awareness among school students helps in instilling the principles of preserving drinking water and teaching them correct behaviors, water conservation, and the optimal use of sewage networks.
  • He stated that numerous awareness-raising activities were implemented for school students, including interactive games, storytelling workshops, art competitions, a morning assembly, and a puppet theater. Souvenirs and publications were distributed urging the need to rationalize water consumption and make optimal use of sewage.
  • He pointed out that a seminar was held for students that addressed a number of key topics, including Egypt's share of the Nile River, methods of water conservation and the urgent need for this, how to best deal with sewage networks, how to download the 125 application from a mobile phone and how to use it, and explaining the harms of negative behaviors in dealing with drinking water and wasting it, and the importance of preserving it, as well as the services provided by the company through fixed, mobile and electronic customer service centers.
  • He stated that these campaigns aim to establish a new generation with a broad understanding of water issues, in addition to educating young people on the correct behaviors in handling drinking water, rationalizing its use, and making optimal use of sewage networks.
  • The company's chairman emphasized the need to intensify such seminars, particularly in schools, to consolidate the concept of water conservation and rationalization of consumption, and to promote positive practices in dealing with drinking water use. This will help raise water awareness, in light of the Egyptian state's commitment to rationalizing consumption and preserving every drop of water.
