Menoufia Water Company Receives 7 Accreditation Certificates for Water Safety and Security Plans.
Engineer Roshdy El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, presented 7 accreditation certificates for water safety and security plans to 6 drinking water supply systems and 1 wastewater treatment system. These systems include the Mit Moussa Water Treatment Plant, the Tahway Water Treatment Plant, the Berket El-Saba Water Treatment Plant, the Melig Water Treatment Plant, the Sirs El-Layan Water Treatment Plant, the Kafr El-Khadra Treatment Plant, and the Kafr Rabie Water Treatment Plant.
This took place during the periodic meeting of the Higher Committee for Water and Sanitation Safety, attended by sector heads, general managers, and relevant authorities in Menoufia Governorate, including the Directorates of Health, Irrigation, and Environment, as well as the heads of relevant sectors within the company.
The meeting addressed the company's commitment to producing water that meets specifications at its water treatment plants, including monitoring all stages of production from water sources to the plant's output. It also covered the implementation of water safety and security plans, as well as wastewater handling safety plans, at all plants, as these are crucial tools for ensuring the quality of the produced water and protecting the environment and public health.
The company president emphasized the importance of prioritizing water safety and security, establishing a timeline for implementing safety plans at all drinking water plants, and the necessity of regularly monitoring the implementation of corrective actions related to water safety and security plans and the safe handling of wastewater.
