Menoufia Water Company: Awareness Activities and Field Visits to Promote Water Conservation
Engineer Roshdy El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, stated that a number of awareness activities were implemented in various schools in cooperation with the Menoufia Directorate of Education to educate students about the importance of conserving water and protecting it.
He added that the campaigns included various interactive activities and games, storytelling workshops, and art competitions in kindergarten and primary schools. Souvenirs and brochures promoting water conservation and the proper use of sanitation systems were also distributed
The Shebin El-Kom Water Treatment Plant welcomed a number of school students to learn about the latest technologies used to provide water to homes, the benefits for the country, families, and individuals from water conservation and its optimal use, the maintenance of home sewage networks, and the efforts made by the state to ensure access to clean drinking water for all citizens.
The company's services were also presented, along with methods of communication with citizens, including how to submit complaints and have them resolved as quickly as possible through the company's hotline (125). Brochures were distributed to attendees to reinforce the awareness messages covered in the seminar.
