  • Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, met with Dr. Mohamed Mustafa, Head of the Crisis and Emergency Room at the Ministry of Housing, to approve the Crisis Policy Memorandum according to the unified model approved by the Ministry of Housing and to discuss steps to begin establishing the "Control, Emergency and Crisis Center" at the company headquarters in order to enhance the company's ability to deal with crises and emergencies.
  • The company president explained that the goal of establishing the Control and Crisis Center is to ensure the continuity of service provision, protect lives and property, and raise the efficiency of dealing with emergencies and crises within the drinking water and sanitation system by dealing immediately and systematically with malfunctions and disasters, reducing response time, reducing the size of losses, and assisting in decision-making through the central command room to collect and analyze information and support senior management with accurate decisions based on real-time data.
  • He added, “The company is committed to applying the highest standards of safety, preparedness, and rapid response to crises and emergencies that may affect the continuity of operation of drinking water and sanitation facilities or the quality of services provided. This policy aims to establish a systematic and effective framework for crisis management that ensures the protection of lives and property, reduces the negative effects of crises, and ensures the continued provision of services with the required efficiency.”
  • He affirmed that the company seeks to ensure the continuity of services and to qualify its leaders and employees to be able to manage crises, which helps in achieving higher readiness, faster decisions, and fewer problems, in addition to providing continuous service to citizens with high efficiency, in implementation of the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, and Engineer Ahmed Gaber, Chairman of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation.
