  • In line with the directives of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities and the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company announced raising its readiness level to the maximum to deal with the wave of weather fluctuations and rainfall, according to reports issued by the General Authority for Meteorology, which indicate that a number of governorates will be exposed to a state of unstable weather conditions, including chances of rainfall of varying intensity.
  • Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Company, directed that a state of emergency be declared at all work sites, ensuring the readiness of equipment, suction trucks, and pumps, and their deployment in areas prone to rainwater accumulation. This is to guarantee the rapid drainage of rainwater and prevent any blockages that could impede traffic flow. He emphasized the importance of continuous field monitoring of all sites and the 24/7 deployment of emergency teams, along with the readiness of pumping stations and equipment to respond immediately to any emergencies. He stressed the need for a swift response to reports received via the hotline 125 to ensure the continuity of services provided to citizens.
