Menoufia Water: The research sector organizes a training course for the development and rehabilitation of artesian wells and raising the efficiency of groundwater production.
Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, affirmed that the company places great importance on qualifying and training its technical staff. This is part of a strategy aimed at relying on internal resources and executing projects with high efficiency without needing external assistance, thus contributing to cost optimization and maximizing the utilization of available resources.
He explained that the company's Research Sector organized a specialized training course entitled "Development and Rehabilitation of Artesian Wells and Groundwater Production," in cooperation with the General Training Department. Thirteen engineers, chemists, and technicians from various company branches (Quesna, El-Bagour, El-Shohada, and Shebin El-Kom) participated in the course, which aimed to enhance their technical skills and enable them to carry out well development work within water treatment plants.
He noted that the practical application of the training has been implemented, with ongoing development work on an artesian well at the Qweisna branch of the Al-Jabal Water Treatment Plant. This work is in preparation for its reactivation and return to service after a year-long shutdown, which will contribute to increased production capacity and improved service for citizens.
He added that the company continues to implement specialized training programs, believing that investing in human capital is the cornerstone of achieving sustainable development and ensuring the provision of distinguished service that meets citizens' needs and provides safe and clean drinking water.
