The Governor also inspects the expansion of the Samadoun wastewater treatment plant, with a capacity of 15,000 cubic meters per day, serving more than 12 villages. Today, Major General Amr El-Gharib, Governor of Menoufia, conducted an extensive field tour of Ashmoun city and district, during which he followed up on a number of ongoing projects to assess the progress of work on the ground and improve the quality of services provided to citizens. He was accompanied by Engineer Roshdy Omar, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company. The tour began with the Governor of Menoufia inspecting the expansions of the Shema sewage treatment plant, which is built on a total area of ​​6 acres with a capacity of 10,000 m3/day, to serve 100,000 citizens, with investments of 300 million pounds, with a completion rate of 98% for civil works. The project will serve the villages of Tahway, Shema and Ramlet Al-Anjab and is scheduled to enter service next September. The Governor listened to a detailed explanation of the project components and implementation rates, and directed that the pace of work be accelerated, continuous field follow-up be carried out, and obstacles be overcome to complete it according to the specified timeframes.

He directed the preparation of a detailed report listing all stations with the lowest implementation rates, in preparation for discussing them during the periodic meeting of the Presidential Initiative "Decent Life." The aim is to identify obstacles and find immediate and urgent solutions that can be implemented on the ground, particularly for the Samadoun, Shama, Taliya, and Sabk El-Ahad stations in Ashmoun, and the Salamoun Bahri station in El-Shohada. The Governor emphasized that the drinking water and sanitation sectors are among his top priorities, as they are vital and important sectors that directly affect citizens' lives and contribute to improving the level of services provided. The Governor of Menoufia also affirmed that the Presidential Initiative "Decent Life" has given great attention to building the Egyptian citizen and improving their rural lifestyle, within the framework of the development efforts implemented by the Egyptian state to achieve comprehensive development in all sectors, in line with the goals of the new republic.
