Menoufia Water Company holds a meeting of the Supreme Committee for Water Safety and Security and Sanitation.
The Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company held its periodic meeting on water and sanitation safety, chaired by Engineer Roshdy El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Irrigation, Dr. Walid Hosny, Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed from the General Administration for Water Safety and Security at the Holding Company, relevant authorities in Menoufia Governorate, and the heads of relevant sectors within the company.
During the meeting, the necessary corrective measures were presented to ensure the safety of drinking water and sanitation and to guarantee the sustainability of safe services for citizens at the Shebin El-Kom and Menouf water treatment plants. This was in preparation for initiating the inspection procedures related to the renewal of the two plants.
The meeting addressed the company's commitment to producing water that meets specifications at its water treatment plants, including monitoring all stages of production from water sources to the plant's output. It also covered the implementation of water safety and security plans, as well as wastewater handling safety plans, across all plants. These plans are considered crucial for ensuring the quality of the produced water and protecting the environment and public health.
The company president emphasized the importance of prioritizing water safety and security, establishing a timeline for implementing safety plans at all drinking water plants, and the necessity of regularly monitoring the implementation of corrective actions related to water safety and security plans and the safe handling of wastewater.
