Menoufia Water Authority: Raising the level of maximum readiness in preparation for Eid al-Adha.
Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, confirmed that all stations and networks across the governorate are operating normally, and that shift work continues at all company sites in preparation for Eid al-Adha.
He added that the highest level of readiness has been implemented at water stations and networks throughout the governorate, ensuring sufficient water supply for use during the Eid al-Adha sacrifices. Coordination is also underway with all branches to carry out cleaning operations at manholes, pumping stations, and treatment plants to address any potential problems that may arise in the networks and stations.
He issued instructions to establish an emergency operations center in each of the company's branches in preparation for the Eid al-Adha holiday, emphasizing the importance of following up on all complaints received through the hotline 125 and working to resolve them immediately, especially problems related to sewage overflows in the streets or water quality.
He explained that an awareness campaign is being implemented to disseminate the company's message and inform citizens of the necessity of preserving the sewage network and avoiding the disposal of sacrificial animal remains, which leads to blockages, sewage overflows, and damage to the network lines. The campaign aims to educate those who frequent the sewage system about the importance of maintaining it.
