  • Dr. Engineer Mohamed Naguib Saleh, President of the Menoufia Water and Sanitation Company, said that as part of the company’s keenness to sustainably provide its services to all customers, some projects have been completed within the company’s plan to replace, renew, extend and strengthen water and sanitation networks in the governorate’s districts.
  • He stressed that the company achieved achievements in the replacement and renewal plans worth 86 million pounds, in light of the established annual plan, which is 34 million pounds extending, strengthening, replacing and renewing the water networks in the governorate’s districts with a total length of 41 km, and 23 million pounds extending, strengthening, replacing and renewing the sewage networks in the governorate’s districts with a total of Length of 10 km, 13 million pounds for replacement and renovation work for 26 water stations in the company, 16 million pounds for loading and renovation work for 12 treatment and lifting stations, which aims to achieve full benefit from the designed capacities of the stations and prolong their lifespan, and 10 million pounds for a rain coping plan.
  • He explained that with regard to sanitation projects financed by a loan from the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and results-based SRSSP p for R, work worth 1.42 billion pounds is being carried out to deliver integrated sanitation service to 16 villages and 16 small settlements to serve 180,000 people deprived of sanitation service in Tala district. 163 km of slope networks and 27 km of expulsion lines have been completed, with a 75% implementation rate to date, and the project work is being completed.
  • He added, within the framework of cooperation with members of the House of Representatives to deliver sanitation services to citizens, works worth 17 million pounds were carried out for the plan of members of the House of Representatives, which consisted of allocating 3 million pounds to extend and strengthen drainage networks in the village of Al-Mai, Shebin Al-Koum Distrect, and 14 million pounds to connect sewage and extend slope networks and a line.   • He stated that 74 million pounds were implemented in projects funded by the company, which included 25 million pounds for the work of replacing, renewing, extending and strengthening the sewage networks in the governorate’s districts, 15 million pounds for implementing the replacement and renewal of the expulsion lines for the Quesna lift stations No. 3 and 4, with a total length of 3 km, and 4 million pounds for the work of replacing, renewing, extending and strengthening. Some of the complaints about the sewage networks were funded by the World Bank’s performance improvement plan and the establishment of a lifting station at a cost of 27 million pounds to serve the social housing buildings in Al-Raheb. The replacement and renovation of 25 wells at a cost of 3 million pounds in the districts of the governorate was also completed.
