As part of the "Decent Life" projects in Shohada, the Governor of Menoufia inspects the expansion of the Salmon Bahri treatment plant.
Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, conducted an extensive field tour to inspect a number of projects being implemented within the presidential initiative "Decent Life" in Martyrs, in continuation of the comprehensive development process witnessed by the governorate.
The Governor of Menoufia inspected the expansion works of the Salmon Bahri treatment plant project, as part of the presidential initiative projects "Decent Life" in the Martyrs Center and City, which is built on an area of 5 acres and has a current capacity of 20,000 m3/day. Expansion works are underway with a capacity of 20,000 m3/day, so that the current capacity will be 40,000 m3/day, and the future capacity will be 60,000 m3/day.
Eng. Rushdi El Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, indicated that the trial operation of the station will begin at the end of next July. The project currently serves (Martyrs City and the villages of Salamoun Bahri - Salamoun Qibli - Kafr Ashma - Al Iraqiya - Kafr Al Jalabta - Manshiyat Al Sadat - Nader - Jazirat Al Hajar), while the expansions will accommodate the villages of Ashma - Kafr Denshway - Zawyet Al Naoura - Kafr Hijazi, while reducing pressure on the existing phase of the station.
This comes within the framework of the political leadership's directives to continue efforts towards comprehensive change and construction to improve the level of services provided to citizens.
