Menoufia Water: Establishing an emergency room in preparation for Eid al-Adha.
Today, Eng. Rushdi El Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, held a meeting to form an emergency room in preparation for Eid al-Adha. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Operations and Maintenance Sector, the Head of the Laboratories and Quality Control Sector, and the Operations Managers at the affiliated branches ... held to confirm the work plan for the Eid al-Adha holiday.
He added that a plan is being implemented to clean sewage drains in all areas of the governorate in anticipation of any sudden blockage in sewage lines during Eid al-Adha.
He added that the highest level of preparedness has been raised at water stations and networks across the governorate, and the necessary quantities of water have been provided for use in sacrificial animal sacrifices. Coordination has also been made with all branches to carry out disinfection work for sewers, pumping stations, and treatment plants to address any problems that may arise in the networks and stations.
He added that a 24-hour emergency room has been established across all the company's branches to follow up on all complaints received on the 125 hotline and work to resolve them immediately, particularly problems related to flooding in the streets or water quality.
He stressed the importance of having chemists present at the company's laboratories to take samples from networks and station packages immediately upon any complaint regarding water quality, with mobile laboratory vehicles ready to take samples and conduct chemical and bacteriological analyses to verify water safety and quality.
He directed the need to implement an awareness campaign to spread the company's message and inform citizens of the need to maintain sewage networks and avoid dumping sacrificial animal waste, which leads to blockages, sewage overflows, and damage to network lines. He also urged those who frequent the company to educate them about the importance of maintaining sewage networks.
He called for the need to improve services provided to citizens, stressing that stations should be operating at full capacity to meet citizens' needs and address any potential problems related to the shortage of drinking water in the coming period.
