Menoufia Water: Disinfecting pumping stations and sewage networks in preparation for Eid al-Adha.
The Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company is preparing for Eid al-Adha. Eng. Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman and Managing Director, has instructed all branch heads to disinfect sewage drains in preparation for any emergency that may occur in the networks and stations.
He pointed out that a plan was developed with the branch heads to carry out the necessary disinfection and unclogging of rooms, drains and sewage networks as part of the measures taken by the company in preparation for Eid al-Adha, in implementation of the instructions of Major General Ibrahim Abuleimon, Governor of Menoufia, and Engineer Mamdouh Raslan, Chairman of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater.
He stressed the regularity of work at all stations and networks across the governorate, the continuation of work in shifts at all company sites, and the continuous monitoring of the smooth running of work, dealing with any problems that arise at the time and working to solve them immediately, especially problems related to the appearance of floods in the streets or the quality of water.
He added that an awareness campaign was implemented to disseminate the company's message and inform citizens of the need to maintain sewage networks and avoid dumping sacrificial animal waste, which can lead to sewage blockages, overflows, and damage to network lines. This campaign also aims to educate citizens on the importance of properly handling sewage networks.
