Menoufia Water: Implementing water awareness activities in the governorate's schools.
The Public Awareness Department of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company organized several awareness activities in a number of schools across the governorate. The aim was to promote water conservation among students, teach them proper water usage practices, and encourage the optimal use of the sanitation network.
Engineer Roshdy El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, confirmed that several awareness activities will be implemented in various schools throughout the governorate, in accordance with the cooperation protocol between the company and the Menoufia Directorate of Education. The goal is to spread a culture of water awareness and deliver various messages aimed at instilling the concept of water conservation in young people.
He stated that the awareness team implemented several activities to introduce students to the most important modern technologies for water conservation in homes, highlighting the benefits for the country, families, and individuals from water conservation, optimal water use, and maintaining proper sanitation in homes.
He added that numerous interactive activities and games were conducted within the school, including storytelling workshops, art competitions, coloring contests, and other interactive activities. Students were also informed about the 125 hotline and the services it provides, as well as the large-scale projects undertaken by the state in the drinking water and sanitation sector and how to conserve water. Additionally, brochures promoting water conservation were distributed.
