“Menoufia Water” implemented a plan to cleanse sewage networks in all areas of the governorate.
Dr. Engineer Mohamed Naguib Saleh, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Menoufia, directed the need to pay attention to disinfecting and maintaining sewers, lines, and sewage pipes, and to raise their efficiency to maintain the sustainability of service provision, prolong its lifespan, and prepare to deal with emergencies and crises coinciding with the onset of the winter season.
He pointed out that all branches of the company implement the periodic disinfection plan prepared in advance by the company to disinfect sewage lines, pipes, and sewers, in addition to activating the emergency plan in times of crisis to respond to citizens’ complaints about the presence of overflows or complaints related to water quality.
He added, the company seeks to improve the service provided to citizens coinciding with the onset of the winter season and the accompanying rain to ensure that lines and networks do not become suddenly clogged, calling on citizens to deal well with sewage networks, not to throw waste into them, and to report uncovered drain covers that are subject to theft to replace them with new covers in order to ensure Citizens safety and to protect the networks from waste falling into them that might cause them to become clogged.
