Menoufia Water: Awareness campaigns and activities to rationalize consumption at Tala district.
Dr. Engineer Mohamed Naguib Saleh, President of the Menoufia Water and Sanitation Company, stated that the company’s awareness department organized a number of awareness activities within health convoys for the people of Kafr Rabie village, affiliated with the Tala district.
He explained that the aim of these activities is to educate people about the importance of drinking water and the necessity of preserving it from waste, in addition to preserving its sources from pollution and not throwing waste, garbage, and dead animals into waterways.
He pointed out the diversity of the campaign’s activities, including collecting random water samples to ensure their quality and compliance with drinking water standard specifications, holding awareness seminars, implementing field awareness, installing parts provided by government departments, interactive games, and competitions for children in the village to urge them to conserve drinking water, and hanging awareness posters to conserve water in areas. The village, in addition to introducing citizens to water-saving plots and their importance in rationalizing consumption.
He added, citizens were introduced to the company’s various communication channels, which include the company’s website, the company’s official page on the social networking site “Facebook,” and the hotline 125 to receive inquiries and complaints.
